The call from Dr. Taplin came today about Kylah's bloodwork. It looks like her body is possibly coming out of "remission", but only time and an increased medicine dose will give us the answers.
One of her thyroid numbers has changed in the wrong direction. However, she has been growing so it is possible the dose of medicine she was on is no longer as effective. Or, it is possible that her body is transitioning back into hyperthyroidism. He wants to increase her dose and we will retest in March.
**when i say "remission", it means the period of time since her numbers came back "normal" that her body has been able to maintain those numbers with a limited amound of medication.
