Getting Ready

We are getting ready for Halloween around here! For the first time, after experiencing a couple years of last minute panic and "franticness", the kids picked their costumes out early October! No stress in trying to find the wanted costume. We are ready to go!

We decorated the house last week. Oh, wait...i mean the rental! :) And last weekend, the kids put together foam halloween kits, we went to the pumpkin patch and tonight we glitterized/stickered our mini-pumpkins. We will have pumpkin carving night ahead and then we will officially be ready for this Halloween!

It is the first year in the past 6 years that I won't have to buy bags of candy in preparation for bunches of kids...i don't think we will get any this year! Which is happiness and sadness altogether. Sadness that we won't see the cute kids standing at our door and Kylah won't be able to pass them candy when she has "had enough" of the costumes creepin' about the neighborhood. Happiness that Dad will be able to participate in the trick or treating experience this year and not hang out at home passing out the candy! We aren't quite sure what we will be doing this year, but I know one thing...I will enjoy every minute of it!
